- We have one member of our team on site each day for the dispatch of orders, adhering to strict hygeine measures during the picking and packing of orders. Orders are being dispatched as normal.
- Our deliveries are generally operating to normal schedule, but please note on occassion delivery times may be extended by a few days due to local operational issues with our couriers/postal system.
- Our phone lines are open but please be patient as they may not be answered quickly due to reduced staff numbers. Email remains the best method of getting in touch with us during these times.
- Deliveries: Most services are still running to schedule, however due to the volumes of parcels the postal system and couriers are seeing at the moment, some deliveries may be extended by a day or two in some cases, or up to 2 weeks for Royal Mail post deliveries. Please note we are currently unable to offer a refund for deliveries that run late. (Your rights to return the order remain unaffected however we are unable to offer a refund on the delivery element). DPD Next Day remains the most reliable delivery option with around 99% of deliveries arriving on time next day.
Over the last few weeks we have been watching and strictly following the latest guidelines outlined by our government to keep us and our customers safe while continuing our business. Over this time, we have limited staff contact, adhered to the distancing measures, and followed the hand washing and hygiene measures set out for all our safety. Over the last week, our staff have been working from home where possible and only essential warehouse operation took place.
As the new government instructions came last night to close all non-essential shops to prevent contact with people, we have closed our warehouse to the public for the collection of orders. All staff are now working from home, with the exception that only one warehouse operative will be permitted onsite on a daily basis for a limited time to fulfil the order shipping process. They will not be in contact with anyone else at the premises, and they will adhere to the strict isolation and hygiene guidelines at all times.
With a lock down in place for 3 weeks, along with a review to extending it after this period if necessary, we want to encourage people not to leave their homes for non-essential reasons. Over recent weeks we have noticed a much higher demand for LED products for gifts and entertainment at home, such as LED toys, wands, swords and our birthday numbers and candles. So, in line with other retailers, we have taken the decision to continue the sale of our products to help reduce the need for people to go to supermarkets looking for birthday or Easter gifts at a time when all other non-essential retail shops have now closed.
The government guidelines do not prohibit online shopping, in fact they are encouraging it. Deliveries will be made according to the strict distancing and hygiene measures that have already been put in place by our carriers. Deliveries are generally being made on time, however please note due to operational issues with local couriers/post service please allow an extra day or two for delivery.
We will continue to adhere to the government guidelines as the situation continues, and should there be any changes to our operation policy, we will let our customers know via our newsletter and by publishing it on our website. If you need to get in touch with us, please do so by email. Our phone lines are open however may take longer to be answered due to reduced staff numbers.
During this historical and challenging time, we would like to wish all our customers and their extended families and friends a safe and stress-free lock down. Together, we can all do our part to protect the community and our NHS by staying at home.
