WEEE, Battery and Safety Information

Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment recycling

Glowtopia sell a number of products which have electrical components and/or batteries meaning they should not be placed in to landfill.

Each local authority must accept household WEEE and small batteries free of charge at its recycling facilities. All WEEE and waste batteries must be recycled and should not be placed in any of your household wheelie bins. Make sure you always recycle all your old electrical goods and batteries.

We also offer a free take back scheme of all our products when they are at the end of their life. To take advantage of this when your products are at the end of their life simply return them to us at: WEEE Returns, Glowtopia, Unit 7 Dawkins Business Centre, Poole, BH15 4JY.

Batteries and Product Safety

All our products are safety checked and UK certified. Our products classified as toys are suitable for ages 4+ unless otherwise stated. We do not sell products aimed at babies/toddlers ages 0-3. Products not classified as toys may only be suitable for use by older ages (generally 14+). This is clarified on each of our product pages.

For more information contact us via email (sales@glowtopia.co.uk).

Button Batteries

A number of our products contain small button batteries either sealed in to the product (non-replaceable) or under a cover which is screwed shut (replaceable). When replacing batteries ensure the cover is replaced securely and with the screw shut.

All products being used by children should be checked regularly by parents for damage. If you suspect the product is damaged stop using it immediately and dispose of it safely to avoid any risk of batteries becoming loose.
